Toona sinensis, also known as Chinese Mahogany, Chinese Toon, or Red Toon, is a highly popular and revered tree native to eastern and southeastern Asia. It is grown for its nutritious and tasty vegetable, Toona Sprouts, which are easy to cultivate and rich in protein, vitamin A, fat, carbohydrate and ash. The young leaves of this tree have a unique onion-like flavor and are extensively used as a vegetable in China.
